Douglas Stoodt has been a practicing attorney since 1974. He received his Bachelors Degree from Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Western State College of Law. Since 1979, his law practice has been limited to Family Law. He has handled over 1,000 family law cases from simple matters to complex cases and has mediated settlement of hundreds of dissolution cases. Mr. Stoodt regularly serves as Settlement Conference Judge Pro Tem of the San Diego Superior Court, Family Law Department and is an active participant in Alternative Dispute Resolution in the North County Branch of the Superior Court and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, Family Law section.  After many years of Family Law trial and litigation, Mr. Stoodt is changing his focus to the growing field of Family Law mediation and alternative dispute resolution.

Barb

Barbara Weiser was admitted to practice law in the State of California in 1988.  She has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles and received her Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier College School of Law. Ms. Weiser’s legal background includes practicing in the areas of Personal Injury Law, Public Law as a Deputy County Counsel in Tehama County, California and for the past sixteen years she has devoted her practice to exclusively to Family Law. Ms. Weiser is a member of the California State Bar Association, Family Law section and the San Diego County Bar Association, Family Law section. She has served on the Military Law Committee of the San Diego Bar Association. She has handled hundred’s of family law cases through the mediation and litigation process. Ms. Weiser is an independent contract attorney focusing on complex Family Law matters and Family Law litigation.

Bridget

Bridget Lazo has worked for our office for several years as office manager and accounts manager and has recently added various assistant functions to her extensive capabilities. She is also the “go to” person in the office when clients have general questions concerning their case.

Megan

Megan Hill graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from California State University, San Marcos. After deciding to make a career change, she attended the paralegal program at the University of San Diego. While attending that program, she served as an intern in our office. After graduation she was hired full-time as a paralegal assistant.
